Blue Knot Day: Support adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse
Published: Wednesday 19th October 2016
Blue Knot Day on Monday 24 October is the Blue Knot Foundation's annual awareness day which encourages all Australians to unite in support of adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse (one in four Australians). The foundation supports survivors, their families and communities through professional phone counselling, information and resources, advocacy and educational workshops.
The theme for Blue Knot Day 2016 is ‘Together we lead the way to survivor recovery’. The tangled knot symbolises the complexity of childhood trauma and blue symbolises a clear sky that provides the space for new possibilities. Browse the Blue Knot Day website for ideas on how you can get involved.
