Blue Knot Day on 27 October 2014 is the national awareness day for Adults Surviving Child Abuse (ASCA).
On Blue Knot Day, ASCA asks all Australians to unite in support of the 5 million Australian adult survivors of child trauma which includes child abuse in all its forms, neglect, experiencing or witnessing family or community violence, or growing up with a parent with a mental illness, who abuses substances, who is imprisoned, or experiencing other forms of separation, grief or loss in childhood.
ASCA advocates, builds, and delivers supports to facilitate recovery for people, families and communities affected by childhood trauma and abuse. ASCA provides:
