The Ballarat campus recently welcomed dignitaries from the District of Ainaro, in Timor Leste. The dignitaries visited Australia to attend the VLGA Conference: Working Together, the Next ten years for Timor-Leste in Melbourne, and expressed interest in touring the ACU Ballarat campus during their visit.
ACU Ballarat has a close association with Ballarat Friends of Ainaro; staff and students from the Faculty of Education have worked with them in developing storybooks for children in Timor Leste. Staff and students have also visited Ainaro as part of this association.
