Annual Sir Harold Wyndham Memorial Lecture

Teaching is too often equated with the transmission of information. This year's annual Sir Harold Wyndham Memorial Lecture, Teaching is Sophisticated Business, to be delivered by Professor John Loughran, Monash University, Dean of the Faculty of Education, will explore the problematic nature of teaching through the lens of science.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with a panel of specialists from government, education and science research. The panel will feature:

  • Mr Tom Alegounarias, President, Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards Professor
  • Professor Tania Aspland, Executive Dean, Faculty of Education and Arts Australian Catholic University
  • Mr Ryan Park MP, NSW Shadow Minister for Education and Training
  • Dr Cameron Webb, Clinical Lecturer, Westmead Clinical School Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research
