Age friendly communities and the power of participation

Myfan Jordan, Manager of Community Participation at COTA Victoria (Council on the Ageing), presents the October installment of IHA's Live Long Live Well colloquium series at 2pm on Wednesday 7 October.
Myfan Jordan is the Manager of Community Participation at COTA Victoria (Council on the Ageing). She spent 25 years studying and working in the UK, focusing on community development, policy and advocacy, until returning to Melbourne in 2011.
Myfan is passionate about the full participation of older people in our communities and has worked in various roles supporting this, over many years.
She has a BA in Social Policy and a Masters in Cultural and Media Studies. Up until June 2015, she worked as COTA Victoria’s Policy Officer.
As Manager of Community Participation, Myfan oversees the policy and research unit, community education, Seniors Information Victoria and the Age Friendly Communities program.
