Dr Craig Duncan, a staff member in the School of Exercise Science, is currently working as the primary Sport Scientist with the NSW State of Origin team.
Dr Duncan and a team of interns from the Australian Catholic University are overseeing daily testing of each player to ensure they're in the best possible condition. Testing includes GPS data, daily saliva and urine testing, and monitoring of sleep patterns to ascertain fatigue levels.
Dr Duncan and his team were based in Coffs Harbour last week and are now in Brisbane ahead of game one on Wednesday night.
