I would like to advise of a change with ACU Petty Cash Floats, which will
reduce the number of Petty Cash Floats on Campus from 50 down to approximately
10 floats. Currently, petty cash floats are maintained in Directorates,
Schools, Institutes and Portfolios of the University and are administered in
accordance with University policies and procedures.
The rationalisation of these floats around the University, has been taken
to reduce the risk of cash across the University and with an intention to move
closer to a cashless campus. This change will be phased in, with floats
identified to be removed, to be completed by Christmas.
Finance will coordinate with the current holders of petty cash floats to
organise a smooth transition of remaining floats back to Finance. Staff
will continue to be able to access petty cash, predominantly through the
Finance Office on each campus.
