The Student Enrichment Unit within the Office of Student Success provides a range of opportunities for students to develop their graduate attributes. As well as providing leadership development to Student Associations and non-sporting clubs and societies, the Student Enrichment Unit coordinates the Orientation programs and offers a range of skills development opportunities to students.
Currently the Student Enrichment Unit is engaged with the planning of ACU Games and the implementation of a range of national lessons and programs.
The 2017 ACU Games will see over 100 students from six ACU campuses gather in Ballarat to engage in an inclusive program comprising of team sports and strategic challenges. The annual event involves three days of activities designed to promote well-being and assist students in developing problem solving skills.
The Student Enrichment Unit offers programs specifically designed to develop skills. Programs such as Debating and Toastmasters are offered on each campus via videoconference, providing students the opportunity to connect nationally while developing leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills. Foreign language and guitar lessons enable students to develop new skills while also allowing students to socialize. In addition, the Creative and Performing Arts program offers students the opportunity to showcase and develop their creativity.
