On Monday 13 March 1975, Peter Blakey walked onto the North Sydney Campus as an Audio-Visual Officer. One of the youngest members of staff, he soon learnt about tertiary education, media and life in general.
On Friday 13 March 2015, Peter celebrated 40 years service with the University and its constituent Colleges. He has worked at all campuses, with the exception of the Ballarat Campus (which he has visited) and Christ Campus in Chadstone (which he hasn't yet visited).
Peter has been involved in the history of the Sydney campuses and the advent of the University in his capacity as President of both the CPSU and NTEU branches (although, not at once!).
Throughout his time at ACU, Peter has been a passionate advocate of professional staff and their place in the University as part of the community.
