25th Anniversary wine
Published: Monday 29th September 2014
Preparations are now well underway in the lead up to ACU’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations in 2015. There are a number of exciting events, projects and exhibitions planned in our anniversary year in which staff have the opportunity to participate: these include the option of purchasing anniversary wine.
Renowned Australian winery Clonakilla has agreed to create a special blend of red wine in honour of the University's 25th anniversary. Clonakilla’s Tim Kirk, who is blending our Shiraz Viognier, was Gourmet Traveller’s winemaker of the year in 2013. Tim is also a member of ACU’s Canberra Chapter.
While the wine will be served at University functions and gifted to stakeholders throughout 2015, staff are also invited to place personal orders for the wine. Please note: the wine is for private consumption only and cannot be on-sold. This will be the first time Clonakilla has partnered with an external organisation in such a manner and we are very grateful for this.
The wine is priced at $25/bottle and the minimum order is one case (12 bottles): 12% of the cost of each bottle will be donated to ACU scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
All staff orders must be submitted by 5pm Friday 29 October 2014. The University has to confirm total order numbers in October, so late orders will not be possible. The wine will be delivered in early March 2015: a central collection point will be established on each campus and staff will be notified to pick up their orders.
