25 Years of service

Dr Jennifer Evans started at ACU on 27 February 1989 as a teacher of developmental disabilities. Jennifer taught semesters in Hong Kong and Sweden, where she represented ACU as an 'exchange lecturer'. In 2005 she completed the EDD - Dr of Education, and has since conducted extensive research and written publications in the area of mental health. Over the past two years Jennifer has worked extremely hard in her role as Undergraduate Course Coordinator. She is also the main driving force behind the infamous Nursing Footy Tips team as an avid Parramatta Eels supporter.

Dr Imke Fischer started at ACU on 15 February 1989 as a teacher in the Department of Human Movement (now  the School of Exercise Science). During her time in the department, Imke filled the role of Lecturer, Course Coordinator and Head of Department. In 1999 Imke became a member of an International Consultative Team for six months, where she worked to upgrade the teaching of Physical Education in Sri Lanka. Only a few years later (2001) she completed her PhD at the University of Sydney. Imke transferred to the School of Nursing in 2005 where she was offered a position as Associate Head of School from 2007-2008. Imke is now the Lecturer in Charge and National Team Leader for HLSC120 as well as Sydney Campus Leader for the Core Curriculum.
