Wrapped With Love
Published: Wednesday 24th September 2014
The North Sydney and Strathfield Social Clubs have combined this year to knit squares for Wrap with Love blankets. Wrap with Love is an Australian charity that has been providing blankets locally and internationally to those in need for 22 years.
The first shipment by Wrap in Love was just 15 wraps, sent to Mozambique. Now, Wrap with Love donates over 30,000 wraps through bona fide Aid Agencies worldwide.
Janette Telford, champion for the ACU North Sydney social club, has been busy knitting and collecting completed squares.
"Last year we made four complete blankets but this year haven't received enough squares to make one blanket.
"Even if we don't get there though, all squares will be still sent off and contribute to a blanket to help someone." Said Janette.
"There is still time to get involved, you don't have to be on a Sydney campus, you can just pop a completed square into internal mail."
The completed squares and wraps will be picked up from the North Sydney campus on Friday 10 October 2014.
Janette thanks all those who have been involved in this rewarding project so far.

The squares to be knitted are 25 x 25 cm, using 4mm needles and 8ply wool. They can be knitted or crocheted. For more information and a copy of the pattern please contact Janette Telford at Janette.firstname.lastname@example.org.
