Director (Govt, Policy & Strategy)
As most of you know, our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Greg Craven, delivered a National Press Club Address earlier this month entitled, Picking Winners and Avoiding Mug Punters: Quality and Selection in Australia’s Universities.
For those of you who were unable to watch the broadcast live, the address has, at last, been uploaded to the ABC’s website.
From the feedback we have received, the Vice-Chancellor’s address has played a major role in shaping debate on the shortcomings of ATARs as the sole method of university entrance assessment.
This Vice-Chancellor’s address fits into the University’s broader strategy around strategic government policy engagement.
