Echo360 Personal Capture allows the creation of screen, webcam and voice recordings from your work or personal computer. These recordings can then be shared with students and others.
Echo360 Personal Capture is free to download and use for all ACU staff on both work and home computers.
To use Echo360 Personal Capture on your computer, you must first download and install the software. To do this, you need to be set up as an instructor in the Echo360 system and you must have administrator rights on your computer. If either of these is NOT the case, you will need to contact ACU Servicedesk to help you with the set up.
If you are listed as a Lecturer in ACU's timetabling system, you will automatically be an instructor in Echo.
There are two ways to access the Echo360 system:
Visit the url, echo360.org.au. To log in, ensure the region is set to 'Asia Pacific', then click 'LOG IN VIA INSTITUTION'. Select 'Australian Catholic University' as your institution; and log in with your usual ACU credentials. - OR -
Once inside the online Echo360 system, the Personal Capture download file, can be accessed from the 'Cog' icon menu, select 'Downloads', then either Mac or Windows Download depending on what computer you are using.
On your home computer you should be able to install Personal Capture yourself. On a work computer, you will probably need to get ACU Servicedesk to install it for you because you need administrator access on your computer.
Once the file has downloaded, simply open the file and follow the installation steps.
