Grades for assessments can be manually overwritten in gradebook and feedback can also be left.
In the case of manual gradebook items, it is necessary to write the grades and comments directly into the gradebook.
From the 'Grader report' in gradebook, click the pencil icon next to the name of the assessment item you would like to manually grade.
For non-manual gradebook items (Assignments and Quizzes etc.) tick the 'Override' check box(es). You will then be able to type in the grade and feedback comments for each student.
For manual gradebook items, type the grades and feedback in directly. There will not be an 'Override' option.
Click the 'Save' button occasionally as you are working to avoid losing marks accidentally.
