A training program has been developed by the Office of Student Success to guide faculty staff with managing student behaviour where it interferes with or interrupts the normal educational and business functions of the University.
The Managing Student Behaviour training program is a self-enrol unit on LEO which contains six focused modules, including a module on managing a student threatening self-harm (with a direct link to the Policy and Procedure on Managing a Student Threatening Self-Harm).
The modules are:
New staff, sessional teaching staff and current staff who wish to refresh their understanding of ACU’s policies and procedures are encouraged to complete this unit.
The online unit enables you to go at your own pace. Completion time for the modules in total is 2 hours and 24 minutes.
Whilst it is encouraged that staff work through all of the modules, there is the option to complete each module separately. A print version of the presentation is also available.
