Quiet launch of the ACU Melbourne Chapel Campaign
Quiet launch of the ACU Melbourne Chapel Campaign
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Greg Craven, will be hosting an evening with key university stakeholders for the quiet launch of the ACU Melbourne Chapel Campaign on 2 November 2011.
ACU will be seeking support and volunteer leadership from the University’s Melbourne community for the future of the St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Chapel and associated campus ministry.
Gathering friends and leaders together for this historic campaign will mark the continuation of a new inclusive Catholic tradition. The ACU Melbourne Chapel Campaign will also seek to bring to life the unique Catholic identity and mission of ACU.
Dedicated to St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, who was born on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy just opposite the Fitzroy Campus, the Chapel will be housed within the National Centre for Health and Wellbeing which is currently under construction. The Chapel will provide the ACU Melbourne community with a quiet and peaceful place for reflection.
In addition to raising capital to build the Chapel, the Campaign will also seek philanthropic investment for an Endowment in Campus Ministries, a permanent fund that will ensure long-term, pastoral care for the ACU Melbourne community.
If you have any queries with regards to the Campaign please contact Annalise Vogel, Senior Advisor, Partnerships and Development by phone on 02 9739 2247 or email annalise.vogel@acu.edu.au
