“In particular, I wish to promote innovation, develop new facilities and courses, and attract world-class staff.”
“I am excited to be joining ACU at this particular time in its history. I’m proud to have been given the opportunity to work for an organisation with such a strong ethics and community focus, and I’m looking forward to working closely with colleagues at all levels to enhance our reputation and impact.”
ACU’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Craven said he was pleased welcome Professor Nyland to the University.
“The Brisbane Campus is continually growing, not only in student numbers, but in staff numbers, research output, campus facilities and course offerings,” he said.
“We have committed to an extensive building program, including $18 million worth of improvements at the Brisbane Campus to accommodate new physiotherapy and exercise science courses.
“I am confident Professor Nyland will be a great asset in leading the expanding campus. He has a proven record of notable academic appointments and leadership roles.”
