Melbourne Open Day 2011

Melbourne Campus Open Day success

ACU’s Melbourne Campus played host to thousands of prospective students, families and their friends as it opened its doors Sunday August 14 for Open Day.

The sun was shining and all hands were on deck as staff from across the faculties and directorates delivered course information, manned stalls and gave guided tours.

Armed with red showbags and plenty of enthusiasm, prospective students flocked to the scheduled sessions to sample the many academic opportunities available at ACU.

The new National Centre for Health and Wellbeing, still in construction, attracted plenty of interest from the crowd.
Chris Sheargold, Associate Vice-Chancellor at the Melbourne Campus, said it was wonderful to witness the record numbers, and a strong interest in courses across the board.

“Our traditionally popular courses attracted even more interest than in the past but it was particularly gratifying to see a strengthening interest in commerce as well as for the new course offerings such as occupational therapy, global studies and international development studies,” he said.
