ACU will host the 17th annual Values and Leadership Conference in Brisbane later this year.
Organised through ACU’s Centre for Creative & Authentic Leadership on behalf of the UCEA Centre for the Study of Leadership and Ethics, it is the first time the conference will be held in the southern hemisphere.
The theme of the conference is Ethical leadership: building capacity for those moments of challenging choices and the program is structured around four key areas of leadership development, indigenous capacity building, ethical behaviour and moral agency, and ethical leadership in action (case studies).
The conference will feature key speakers including Jerry Starratt from Boston College, USA; Nancy Tuana from Penn State University, USA; and ACU’s Bernadette Tobin,.
If you would like to deliver a paper at the conference please visit the conference webpage. Submission due date has been extended and now close June 4, 2012.
We are particularly interested in papers that address the practical application of values and ethics to educational practice. There will be a process of blind refereeing for those who wish to have their papers refereed, and considered for an edited collection, and they will need to submit the full text by August 4.
