Head of School Report and School of Business Sydney
by Professor Grant Jones
Growth in student numbers
School of Business has met its target student numbers for 2012. The mid-year intake has been relatively large which means that the target number is reached mid-year rather than at the beginning of the year as with other faculties.
The curriculum review is coming to an end with reports being compiled by the chairs of each of the working parties. The next is for the two documents to go to the Curriculum Review Committee, to the Faculty Board and then to the University's Academic Board in the new year.
A number of senior leaders of the Faculty of Business will be undertaking a workforce planning exercise to lay the plans for the next five years, including identifying staffing gaps.
Two new staff have commenced at North Sydney. Maria Bruzzese will be the new receptionist/administrator and Jenny Sellier will take on the role of personal assistant to the Head of School, a position she has already been acting in for some months.
