The Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Paramedicine (BN/BP) was launched in February at ACU's Canberra Campus.
The four-year double degree received hundreds of applications, with more than 60 students selected for the first year.
Approximately 80 guests, including a number of the new BN/BP cohort, attended the event which took place in the Blackfriar's building.
The launch was attended by Vice Chancellor Professor Greg Craven, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Professor Michelle Campbell, Canberra Campus Dean Associate Professor Patrick McArdle and the Acting Chief Officer of the ACT Ambulance Service David Dutton.
Professor Craven spoke with wit of his experiences of the ambulance service growing up in Melbourne and David Dutton captivated the audience with his, at times, harrowing tales of the ACT Ambulance Service.
An ambulance was on site for guest inspection and morning tea was held in the garden.
