Paramedicine in Canberra
New facilities to support the Bachelor of Paramedicine were developed on the Canberra Campus in time for the start of Semester 1, 2013.
Properties worked very closely with the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine on this project to provide the best possible facilities for students, including two fully functioning ambulances and a Paramedicine Lab.
Shane Lenson, Clinical Coordinator of Paramedicine at Canberra, is happy with the outcome of the project. He recognises Campus Operations Manager, Susan Love's considerable efforts in maximising the value of available space, while ensuring students learning needs are met. This was done by mounting monitors on walls, putting equipment on wheels and ensuring all furniture was demountable.
This flexibility is important, Shane notes, as students need versatile space that can be used for a wide range of activities, such as teaching or simulation based training.
