The Jayride website makes it easy to find and share a ride.
This year the Properties Directorate has increased the range of information and services available for students and staff travelling to and from ACU campuses, with an emphasis on sustainable travel choices.
Travel choices are important because they affect ACU's neighbours and local communities, the environment and the health and well-being of students and staff. For these reasons, we aim to help the ACU community choose the most sustainable travel options.
Reducing the number of single-occupant car trips taken to our campuses
Increasing the number of trips made on bike, foot and public transport, or by sharing car rides
To encourage students and staff to share their rides, Properties has paid the licence fees for an online carpool matching service called Jayride. The licences purchased provide special Jayride carpool sites for our North Sydney and Strathfield campuses.
The ACU Jayride sites are free to use and for safety, privacy and practicality are restricted to staff and students at Strathfield campus, and to staff only at North Sydney. The reason for the staff-only restriction at North Sydney is to avoid encouraging students to drive when they already take public transport or cycle to campus.
If you're based on our Sydney Campuses why not visit our Jayride sites and sign up today.
