Asset Management

Facilities Management log, track and trend all of the University’s assets to monitor the lifecycle costs, asset deterioration and overall operating expense.

The strategic practice of adopting a robust asset management framework assists ACU in the replacement and upgrade of assets depending on:

  • end of asset lifecycle
  • not fit for purpose
  • modern technology/energy improvements
  • work health and safety improvements
  • excessive or high operating/maintenance costs.

Achieving asset longevity

Improvements in asset longevity can be achieved through high maintenance standards and regular monitoring of asset condition. It remains ACU’s aim to maximise the asset lifecycle and prioritise the upgrade and replacement of assets prior to the peak replacement intervals only when a robust business case is presented and evaluated.

Ensuring asset safety

The safety, health and wellbeing of our staff and students is our priority. When considering an asset replacement plan, we ensure all equipment is functioning to our current standards, demands and requirements.
