Access staff email via Webmail
About Microsoft Outlook Web Interface
Connecting to the Microsoft Outlook Web Interface is easy, and allows you to check your e-mail, calendars and contacts when you are away from your work PC or your laptop. You can access the Web Interface from any browser, and you don't need to install any software on the machine you are using. It is great if you are in an internet cafe on the other side of the world, or even if you need to use someone else's PC.
How to Use Microsoft Outlook Web Interface:
- In the browser address bar type in: https://webmail.acu.edu.au.
- Login as you would your ACU computer at work e.g. User Name - for Joan Smith use josmith and Password - use your network password.
- You should now be presented with the Outlook Web Interface and from here you will be able to see all your emails, contacts and calendar information as well as access any public folders.
Because Outlook needs to connect to your browser over a secure connection, it is important that you include https:// in the address, otherwise you will not be able to connect to the service.
If you are using somebody else's computer or accessing Outlook from an internet cafe, it is very important that you log off Outlook before you leave. Otherwise other people using the machine will be able to access and read your emails without your authorisation.
