Student Administration (SA) Newsletter

The look and feel of the SA Newsletter is changing as of this edition.  IRM will be publishing the Newsletter to the Student Administration closed group on Workplace, as well as the usual PDF version. Keep a look out for the new Workplace version from Monday, 25 September and please feel free to provide feedback, as it is a work in progress, at this stage!

Australian Course Information Register (ACIR)

ACIR is an external database owned and managed by Hobsons Australia. The data is extracted for publication in a range of government and non-government web sites, printed directories and other career education resources (such as The Good Universities Guide).

We are preparing to commence updating all 2018 Undergraduate courses in this database next week whilst the SiteCore content freeze is on.

2018 Units and Costs

IRM has received the Units and Costs data for 2018 and are currently publishing the data on the Public and Students website. This work has been brought forward due to the SiteCore content freeze scheduled for next week.

SiteCore Content Freeze

As mentioned, there will be a scheduled Student Portal content freeze from Monday 25 – Friday 29 September, while IT perform a routine upgrade to SiteCore. During these dates you will not be able to add or edit content on the Student Portal. Any requests IRM did receive have been completed, approved and published. Thanks to all for getting them to us by the deadline.

Thanks to all sections for providing your updates in a timely fashion. The IRM team has finalized  updating the corresponding web pages and the Course Coordinators Manual for 2018 is now live.

Course Progression

The IRM team have conducted presentations to some EF&S staff, Liz and Helen for the new version of DegreeWorks (DW v5). There are some great innovations in the new version, particularly with the introduction of a web-based Scribe application. We are looking forward to working in the new version!

We continue to work on any ad hoc Course Progression queries as they come in. We recommend course or unit specific queries (e.g. enrolment or grades) are sent to the relevant sections.

Please continue to send any user access requests to the Course Progression inbox.

For further information on the handling of Course Progression queries, refer to Course Progression Frequently Asked Questions, Common questions and troubleshooting on the Course Progression web pages on the Staff site.

Please direct queries to course.progression@acu.edu.au
