Turnaround times for Work Requests

Ad hoc work requests (Students site with workflow)

Update published by IRM - 1 day (and then pending approval and publication)

New form creation Allow 5 working days
Updating existing forms Allow 1 – 2 working days
SharePoint permissions for IRM documents including Handbook and Course Browser Allow 1 – 2 working days

Handbook and Course Browser information queries Allow 1 – 2 working days which may include follow up with Faculties

July Academic Board Approvals

The following new courses were presented to the July Academic Board with effect from Semester 1, 2018:

  • Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Science (Environment) (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Applied Public Health/Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Science (Environment)/Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Nutrition Science/Bachelor of Business Administration

Semester 2, 2017:

  • Master of Family and Systemic Therapy
  • Graduate Diploma in Family and Systemic Therapy
  • Graduate Certificate in Family and Systemic Therapy

The following course renames were also presented with effect from Semester 1, 2018:

  • Graduate Diploma in Counselling (new name) – was Graduate Diploma in Clinical Counselling
  • Master of Counselling (new name) - was Master of Clinical Counselling

Preparatory background work has commenced on the following systems to ensure our agreed publishing deadline of 1 August for the 2018 Course Browser and Handbook cycle is met:

2018 Course Browser and Handbook Cycle

The final stages of the 2018 cycle are now underway. This includes preparing for the inclusion of the above new courses, as well as other course reviews that were presented to the July Academic Board, once formal approval has been received.

Course Cost Database

Work on the Indicative First Year Course Costs has now been finalised for all courses being offered in 2018. CSP costs have been calculated using the figures that are subject to the passage of legislation. All CSP and FEE costs have now been entered into Banner screens, SOZCINF and SZACIDF.

Course Coordinators Manual

The annual update of the Course Coordinators Manual is approaching and all stakeholders will be emailed next week requesting their 2018 updates.

ACU Brand Logo on Forms

IRM has finished updating the new ACU logo on Student Administration forms and letters (PDF and Word). If you find any instances of documents/PDFs that have been missed, please send a request to the IRM Section via the IRM Work Request Form.

Course Progression

Work on Course Progression has been scaled down during the Course Browser and Handbook cycle due to work load. However, we are still providing additional support to Faculty staff to expedite the testing process as required.

We continue to work on any ad hoc Course Progression queries as they come in. We recommend course or unit specific queries (eg: enrolment or grades) are sent to the relevant sections.

Please continue to send any user access requests to the Course Progression inbox.
