INFORMATION RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (IRM) SECTION
The extended version of the Academic Calendar for 2016 is now available at http://www.acu.edu.au/staff/our_university/calendars/academic_calendar.
This extended version shows the year on a weekly basis and includes ACU dates alongside public holidays, Government School Term dates and Universities Australia dates.
The approved December Academic Board documentation is now available in SharePoint.
The following systems will be updated (where applicable) to reflect the changes that were approved by the December Academic Board:
- Handbook (including Unit Descriptions);
- Course Browser;
- Course Costs database;
The December Academic Board approvals resulted in over 100 jobs being assigned to the IRM team, with many impacting Semester 1 2016. The team has been working through these tasks, prioritising those affecting Semester 1 2016 - we are on target to have all tasks finalised by the end of January.
Scribing for Phase 4 of the Course Progression Project (CPP) has been completed.
Training sessions have been conducted and feedback from the testing is still being received. The team are currently working through the testing feedback in preparation for Faculty signoff.
Accessibility audits of the public, Staff and Students website were undertaken by Vision Australia at the request of Web Services.
These audits provided recommendations that are being implemented so that all sites are more compliant. As a result, IRM is reviewing all web pages under our jurisdiction and updating any pages/content to meet these recommendations.
When submitting work requests, please use the IRM Work Request Form and ensure that the wording complies with the Student Administration Style Guide located in the All Student Admin section of Knowledge Manager.
Student Connect Noticeboard
Changes to the Student Connect Noticeboard should also be submitted via the IRM Upload Request form. Please remember to visit the noticeboard regularly to ensure it stays current.
