Turnaround times for Work Requests

Ad hoc work requests (Students site with workflow)

Update published by IRM - 1 day (and then pending approval and publication)
Please notify IRM of any urgent queries

Ad hoc work requests (other sites) 1 working day
New form creation Allow 5 working days
Updating existing forms Allow 1 – 2 working days
SharePoint permissions for IRM documents including Handbook and Course Browser Allow 1 – 2 working days
Course Progression queries Allow 1 – 2 working days
Handbook and Course Browser information queries Allow 1 – 2 working days which may include follow up with Faculties

Course Browser and Handbook 2017

Updates for the 2017 Course Browser and Handbook are being finalised. The Course Browser will be switched over to look at 2017 courses in the week commencing 25 July – once Admissions close off all mid-year offerings. The switch over will be a gradual process as each instance of a course within the Course Browser has to be replaced by its 2017 version.

The Course Browser will go live (for 2017 applications) from Wednesday, 3 August. Handbook 2017 will be made live as of Monday, 1 August.

Course Costs 2017

The team is still waiting for the CSP figures for 2017 to be published by the Department of Education.

FEE costs for 2017 have already been entered into Banner screens SZACIDF (Course Browser display) and SOZCINF (Government reporting).

Course Coordinators Manual

All Student Administration sections have been requested to submit their updates for the 2017 Course Coordinators Manual by COB, Wednesday, 17 August.

Course Progression

Work on Course Progression has now stopped so we can concentrate on the Course Browser and Handbook cycle.

Important Reminders

Work Requests
When submitting work requests, please use the IRM Work Request Form.

When updating web information, please ensure the information complies with the Student Administration Style Guide located in the All Student Admin section of Knowledge Manager.

Student Notices and Alerts
Changes to Student Notices or Alerts should also be submitted via theIRM Work Request Form.

Please remember to visit the Student Notices and the student site (alerts on right hand side of page) regularly to ensure it stays current.
