Commonwealth Scholarships and ACU Equity Bursaries
Offers for Commonwealth Scholarships and ACU Equity Bursaries (aka Institution Equity Scholarships or IES) have been made via UAC for students on all campuses). Offers can be viewed on the UAC website from 22 January and UAC will send offers in the post on 22-23 January.
Successful applicants will have 10 working days to accept their offer online (details are outlined in their offer letters). Payment of the Commonwealth Scholarships and IES will be made after we re-confirm their eligibility after the Semester 1 census date.
Four Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship and 60 IES offers were made (40 more than previous years).
Main round 2014/2015 Scholarships
Scholarship applications are NOW OPEN and will close 8 March 2015.
There are a couple of exceptions to these dates, so it’s worthwhile checking the Scholarships and Bursaries Browser to make sure before advising students.
The International Student Scholarship’s (ISS) successful, reserve, unsuccessful, and ineligible applicants were notified of the outcome of their applications by email last week. All successful applicants have accepted their offers.
$1,000 Business Scholarship
Please direct any enquiries regarding the $1,000 Business Scholarship to Rodney Toombes, Faculty Executive Officer.
External Scholarships and Bursaries Browser
Please remember that a number of external organisations also offer scholarship and bursary opportunities to tertiary students. These awards are promoted to students via the External Scholarships and Bursaries page; the Scholarships Office encourages all students to view the browser, especially those who may not be eligible for an internal scholarship or bursary.
ACU Academic Excellence Scholarship
The ACU Academic Excellence Scholarship opened for applications in December and applications continue to flood in. It is open to all Australian citizens and permanent residents who are studying full time at ACU on any campus and in any undergraduate course. Students must have completed their first year and have a GPA of at least 6.0.
Until last week, applicants did not need to upload any documentation with their applications. This was confusing many students. We have adjusted the application form so that all applicants must upload their academic transcript from this point on.
Please visit the Scholarships and Bursaries Browser to apply.
