Handbook and Course Browser 2016 Cycle

The updating of all Course Browser and Handbook content for 2016 is well underway. We are still waiting on some further updates/amendments from the Facilities.

The IRM team are quality checking the Course Browser and Handbook for 2016 and are working towards a more consistent style and formatting to ensure data integrity.

As we progress through our updating, we are endeavouring to ensure that every page, irrespective of whether or not there are any updates, complies with the accessibility requirements as per the following item.

Students Website Accessibility Audit

Vision Australia recently completed an accessibility audit of the Students website at the request of Web Services. IRM team members attended a teleconference where the results of the audit were discussed.

The audit has provided several recommendations that should be implemented so that the Students site is more compliant. As a result, IRM will be reviewing all Student Administration web pages over the coming months (as time permits) and updating any pages/content to meet these recommendations.

To commence this review, the IRM team is incorporating this into the current update process for the 2016 Handbook and Course Browser pages.

Course Cost Database

Preparation has begun for the 2016 Course Cost Database and work will commence for calculating the first year indicative costs for this task next week.

Important Reminders

Work Requests
When submitting work requests, please use the IRM Work Request Form and ensure that the wording complies with the Student Administration Style Guide located in the All Student Admin section of Knowledge Manager.

Student Connect Noticeboard
Changes to the Student Connect Noticeboard should also be submitted via the IRM Upload Request form. Please remember to visit the noticeboard regularly to ensure it stays current.
