INFORMATION RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (IRM) SECTION
IRM is currently updating the course-related webpages within the Content Management System for the 2016 Course Browser and Handbook, using the updated Faculty master files. All course-related updates for 2016 were to be finalised by 15 May.
Unit description and faculty staff updates are due to be finalised today, Friday 12 June as per the published timelines.
All stakeholder files (reflected in the General Information section of the handbook) are also due to be finalised by today, Friday 12 June.
Vision Australia recently completed an accessibility audit of the Students website at the request of Web Services. IRM team members attended a teleconference this week where the results of the audit were discussed.
The audit has provided several recommendations that should be implemented so that the Students site is more compliant. As a result, IRM will be reviewing all Student Administration web pages over the coming months (as time permits) and updating any pages/content to meet these recommendations.
To commence this review, the IRM team is incorporating this into the current update process for the 2016 Handbook and Course Browser pages.
All Unit Descriptions have been entered into the SCADETL screen in Banner. The benefit of having unit descriptions stored in Banner (currently in the CMS) is that the same description can be drawn into both the handbook unit description pages as well as Course Progression. The process to enable these descriptions to be displayed in the handbook is almost complete.

Changes to the Student Connect Noticeboard should also be submitted via the IRM Upload Request form. Please remember to visit the noticeboard regularly to ensure it stays current.
