INFORMATION RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (IRM) SECTION
IRM has finished copying the course-related webpages within the Content Management System. The 2016 version of these pages are now being updated for both the Handbook and Course Browser, using the updated Faculty master files. All course-related updates for 2016 were to be finalised by 15 May.
Unit description and faculty staff updates can still be made up to 12 June.
Staff responsible for updating stakeholder files (General Information section of the handbook) also have until 12 June to finalise their updates for 2016.
Vision Australia recently completed an accessibility audit of the Students website at the request of Web Services. IRM team members attended a teleconference this week where the results of the audit were discussed.
The audit has provided several recommendations that should be implemented so that the Students site is more compliant. As a result, IRM will be reviewing all Student Administration web pages over the coming months (as time permits) and updating any pages/content to meet these recommendations.
All Unit Descriptions have been entered into the SCADETL screen in Banner. The benefit of having unit descriptions stored in Banner (currently in the CMS) is that the same description can be drawn into both the handbook unit description pages as well as Course Progression. The process to enable these descriptions to be displayed in the handbook is almost complete.

Phase 3 Course Progression courses that have been “Student Audit” tested and signed off by Faculties have now been migrated to the Production site. For a complete list of courses that are now available to students, please visit the Course Progression webpage.
The Course Progression team would like to thank all staff involved in the testing and feedback of the Phase 3 courses. Your participation and enthusiasm has been greatly appreciated. Many of your suggestions have been implemented in Course Progression, making it easier for students and staff to understand and navigate the software.

Changes to the Student Connect Noticeboard should also be submitted via the IRM Upload Request form. Please remember to visit the noticeboard regularly to ensure it stays current.
