New Courses on offer in Semester 2, 2014

The following courses have been approved to open for semester 2, 2014 entry:

  • Graduate Diploma in High Performance Sport
  • Master of High Performance Sport

Withdrawn Courses from Semester 1, 2015

The Faculty of Health Sciences have withdrawn the following courses from Semester 1 2015:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Social Work
  • Bachelor of Theology/Bachelor of Social Work

They are also reviewing the Bachelor of Social Work and working on developing a 4 year Bachelor of Social Work to replace the current course however this is yet to go through Academic Board.

All currently deferred students who were made offers in 2013 or 2014 to the Bachelor of Nursing (Mental Health) and Bachelor of Nursing (Practice Leadership) have been contacted via email as these courses have now been discontinued and therefore, deferred applicants will not be able to commence these courses upon their return from deferment.

These students will have the following options:


  • Option of commencing either the Bachelor of Nursing or the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business Administration in lieu of the Bachelor of Nursing (Mental Health).


  • Option of commencing either the Bachelor of Nursing or the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business Administration in lieu of the Bachelor of Nursing (Practice Leadership).

Students must respond to Admissions with their degree choice by 7 July 2014 and complete a CD form if returning in Semester 1, 2015.

Closing date for course and campus transfers

Closing date for all applications

31 July 2014

Closing date for all other postgraduate Education programs available by direct application (not via QTAC, UAC or VTAC), and cross-institutional study applications for postgraduate Education units.

Note mid-year transfer applicants close 30 June.

There are a number of transfer applications from Postgraduate Certificate in Education courses to the Master of Religious Education course, which are currently on hold pending Semester 1 results. Student Centres note - If a Postgraduate student has not received a response regarding their transfer request, please advise them to contact Admissions.

Commencement following deferment forms

All CD forms for Semester 2, 2014 have been processed. If any students believe they have completed this form and it has not been processed, please advise them to contact Admissions.

Assessment of Qualifications

Student Centres should be aware that both UAC and QTAC offer an assessment of qualifications service for applicants seeking information about possible ranks for entry to courses at ACU.
