Scholarship Application Tips

What evidence do I need to provide to demonstrate financial hardship?

Evidence to demonstrate financial hardship includes financial statements from Centrelink, income tax return and bank account balances.

What is a professional reference?

A professional reference is a written reference from your direct supervisor commenting on your work. Simply listing the contact details of your referees is insufficient.

What is an academic reference?

An academic reference refers to a written reference commenting on your academic performance. For example, a written reference from a current or past University tutor or lecturer, or a Secondary School teacher would suffice.

Can I just list the contact details of my referees?

No, this is not sufficient. Written references must be provided with your application. If an applicant simply lists the contact details of their referees the application is deemed ineligible.
