Late Payment Fee
A $200 Late Payment Fee has been applied to any student with outstanding tuition fees in Summer Term A or Research A Term 2013.

Unpaid HELP debts
A report released recently by the Grattan Institute states the amount of HELP debt outstanding has increased more than a hundred-fold since 1989.

It is estimated students owe the Federal Government more than $6.2 billion in unpaid HELP loans. As the cost of university courses rises, the proportion of the debt that is unlikely to be repaid will increase. The major reason for the shortfall is that a number of debtors are forecast to die or move overseas.
