All LICs must be contactable throughout the scheduled examinations for their units.

Campus timetables are available on the Examination Information for Staff web page.  Staff members may view any student’s personal examination timetable via the useful link on the bottom of the page.  The student identification number will be required.

All students, including those with education inclusion plans, requiring examination adjustments have been timetabled.

Lecturers in Charge of units with central examinations should be familiar with the Examination Procedures for Academic Staff.

Lecturers may collect completed exam papers by contacting the Area Supervisor (in the first instance) or the Campus Examination Officer. Exam papers should be collected from the Examination Distribution room at the times noted below:

  • For exams held in the morning session: Between 2.45 pm and 4.00 pm on the day of the exam.
  • For exams held in the afternoon/evening session/s: Between 10.15 am and 11.30 am on the first working day after the exam.
  • For exams held on Friday, the LIC may collect the exam from the Examination Distribution room late Friday afternoon or early Friday Evening. If an LIC is opting to collect completed exams on Friday evenings, notification of this must be submitted (by emailing Examinations@acu.edu.au no later than close-of-business of the preceding Wednesday.

LICs must show photo identification. If a LIC is unable to collect their paper, they may send a proxy from their school to collect the papers on their behalf. The proxy must have photo identification.

Applications for Deferred Examinations are being received and processed. Reports will be continually sent out to the Heads of School and School Administration detailing the applications received and processed. To be approved for a central deferred examination; students must meet the criteria outlined on the Deferred Examinations web page.

The timely submission/data entry and finalisation of grades is essential.  Not allocating a final grade (ie. the grading code is left blank) by the submission due date will create delays in the processes, additional administrative work and may result in ineligible students being granted a supplementary assessment.  Where a student has unit(s) with no final grade(s) allocated, the unit(s) will be treated as a pass grade until a final result is entered.

Results should only to be left blank if there is outstanding work which hasn't yet been assessed - eg where the student has handed in work, but assessment hasn't been completed, or where the student has approval to hand assessment in late.

Submission of Results via Student Connect   Please refer to the user guides for entering results and the link for Banner reports on the Staff Results page.
