ACU Scholarships and Bursaries
Applicants for ACU Scholarships and Bursaries for Semester 2 2012 were sent an email on Monday 3 September 2012, advising them of the outcome of their applications. Successful applicants were advised to send an email to Scholarships within 10 working days to accept their scholarship and to enter their bank details in Student Connect to enable us to make EFT payments.
Commonwealth Scholarship (CS) holders were advised on Wednesday 5 September 2012 of whether or not they meet the eligibility criteria to continue to receive their CS in Semester 2 2012.
One of the requirements of ongoing scholarships is that recipients must make sufficient academic progress. The assessment of this is based on their results from the previous standard semester. Unfortunately, many Semester 1 results are missing (mainly due to the students still completing placements or still awaiting a placement). This issue is affecting one third of the recipients of ongoing ACU Scholarships and Bursaries and preventing us from assessing their eligibility. We have requested advice from the donor for whose scholarship is most affected and we will advise recipients of the outcome of our eligibility checks as soon as we receive advice from the donor.
Important Date Change
The application period for most 2013 ACU Scholarships and Bursaries has changed. Applications will now open on Friday 19 October instead of Monday 22 October 2012 and will close on 17 March 2013. This change has been made in order to take advantage of a cross-promotion opportunity identified by Marketing and External Relations.
Applications are currently open for the International Student Scholarship, the Faculty of Law Equity Bursary, and the Faculty of Law Executive Dean’s Scholarship.
The application period for 2013 Commonwealth Scholarships and ACU Equity Bursaries (aka Institution Equity Scholarships) is now open and will close on 30 November 2012. Information regarding these scholarships is displayed on our Scholarships and Bursaries Browser and a link is provided to UAC, through which applicants must apply (regardless of the state they live in).
