Membership:
  • Chairperson nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
  • Deputy Chairperson nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
  • Faculty Deans
  • A person who holds the substantive position of at least Senior Lecturer, elected by and from the academic staff of each Faculty
Observers:
  • Director, Personnel Relations and Equal Opportunity or nominee
  • Electedstaff member nominated
Date of establishment: 27 October 1992

Meeting frequency: Normally 2 times per year

Responsible Officer: Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs)

Executive Officer: Executive Officer, Promotions Committees
Term of Reference:
To consider applications for promotion to Lecturer (Level B) and Senior Lecturer (Level C) and make recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor.
Review(s): The Committee reviews the Policy and Procedures annually, and amendments are recommended to the Vice-Chancellor for approval.  Last revision was in October 2005.
