Senate Nominations Committee
The Senate Nominations Committee was established by Senate to provide advice on the process of identifying, nominating and selecting prospective external members of Senate.
The current membership of the Senate Nominations Committee comprises:
Chancellor – Chair
Pro-Chancellor
Vice-Chancellor
A member of Senate (v)
Terms of Reference
The Nominations Committee shall, subject to the direction and control of the Senate, exercise the following functions:
- advise on the process of identifying, nominating and selecting persons as prospective external members of Senate having regard to Clause 13.4 of the Constitution of Australian Catholic University Limited;
- ensure that high quality persons are available with the qualities, skills and experience of benefit to the University;
- ensure that such candidates have complementary skills to those already serving on the Senate;
- following wide consultation, bring forward a panel of names for consideration by the Senate for referral to Members.
