Women at ACU

Regional Women Leaders Conference 2010

Achieving gender equity is a priority for the University, and is supported at all levels, including Senate, Executive Planning Group and by our Vice Chancellor.

As winner of the Leading Organisation for the Advancement of Women (>800 employees) in the 2011 EOWA Business Achievement awards, ACU has been acknowledged by as an employer that supports family-friendly practices and understands the benefits of a diverse workforce.

In 2012 and 2011 ACU was awarded the EOWA Employer of Choice Citation, recognising our efforts in this area.

ACU has been successful in increasing female representation at all levels of the University, including at senior management, with women currently constituting 67.8% of the workforce. 

We will continue to strive for improved outcomes for women in the workplace through initiatives and policies/procedures that promote gender equity.
