Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM)
As the only professional association for administrators and managers in tertiary education, ATEM is dedicated to advancing professional practice throughout Australasia. The Association provides professional development opportunities that aim to give participants an edge in their career and a greater voice in their areas of expertise

LH Martin Institute
ACU partners with the LH Martin Institute to provide leadership training to ACU staff. The Institute provides the tertiary education sector with career and capability development through an integrated set of programs, events and projects. The Institute also became part of the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
The Institute’s programs: * are contextualised to the tertiary education sector * provide practical examples that relate to participants' own situations * are led by practitioners in the field * arm participants with tools which can be applied immediately to their workplace * are informed by the latest research and resources on the tertiary education sector

Australian Higher Education Industrial Association (AHEIA)
ACU is a member of the Australian Higher Education Industrial Association (AHEIA), which is the employer association for the higher education sector, registered under the Federal Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
AHEIA's membership comprises universities and other higher education providers. and the Association employs a team of highly mobile specialist consultants based in Melbourne.
AHEIA protects the workplace relations interests of its members, advises them on award and workplace relations matters and represents them, on either an individual or collective basis, before industrial tribunals and internal disciplinary and appeals committees.
The Association provides a range of learning and development services including the provision of a suite of Industrial Relations (IR) focused training programs and bespoke training solutions specifically designed for university staff. Training workshops are offered throughout the year in all major capital cities.
