ACU's people are critical to the realisation of the University's strategic aims. Quality leadership and management are essential components for engaging and empowering our staff to create a culture of performance excellence at ACU. The University invests in its people through offering a number of professional development opportunities to support managers and supervisors, emerging leaders and senior leaders to build on their skills and enhance their career opportunities.
The Leadership Competency Framework (LCF) toolkit, which assists managers and supervisors to understand what is expected of them in their role, is being replaced with the Capability Development Framework (CDF). The CDF builds upon the LCF, but is an expanded framework which describes the essential competencies needed in all staff at every level of the University. The CDF replaces the LCF from August 2016 onwards.
For processes that began under the LCF and are currently in train, a period of transition to the CDF will apply. Access to LCF resources remains available for staff who need use the LCF using this transition. For more information, please contact Capabilities and Development on 02 9739 2158 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The CDF enables a whole-of-organisation approach to developing and strengthening capability, and it is part of the ongoing investment by the University in the professional development of our staff. Explore the Capability Development Framework to understand how it applies to your role, and to your staff.
