Enterprise Agreement & Conditions

The Australian Catholic University Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017 has been approved by the Fair Work Commission and is effective from 19 March 2014. The Agreement has a nominal expiry date of 30 June 2017.

The Agreement is a legally binding document and covers the salaries, working conditions and provisions for all Academic staff employed at Levels A to E, as well as all Professional Staff employed at HEW levels 1 to 9.

Employment-related Policies being updated

As the new Agreement has now come into effect, all employment-related Policies and related documents will be progressively updated to reflect the arrangements of the ACU Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017.  These updated documents will undergo the normal consultative process with the ACU Staff Consultative Committee, before being approved by the Vice-Chancellor and President and then published on the HR website.

During this time, please note that where there is any discrepancy between an existing Policy/document and the ACU Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017, the Agreement prevails.

Transitional items still covered by the previous Agreement

It is important to understand that there are a small number of transitional arrangements included in the Australian Catholic University Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013 – 2017, and this means some items will still be covered by the previous 2010 – 2013 Agreement until a later date.

The previous 2010 - 2013 Agreement shall remain accessible to all staff for reference due to these transitional arrangements.  These transitional arrangements include actions (dispute or disciplinary process) commenced under the previous Agreement.
