Can I be held responsible for infringements by my students?

If you direct or suggest that a student copies material [e.g. more than 10% or one chapter] that falls outside the scope of research, study or the educational copying licences you can be held responsible for a copyright infringement.

You will not be liable for copies made by students on University photocopiers as warning notices are attached to each copying device and Copyright Agency Limited has agreed this is sufficient.
