Institute for The Advancement of Research
As well as the flagships and centres, ACU National has established an Institute for the Advancement of Research (IAR), to promote research activities of the highest international standard.
Members of the IAR include ACU National researchers and visiting scholars from Australian and international institutions.
The establishment of the Institute is a sign of the seriousness of the University's commitment to research.
There are various categories of membership in the Institute, ranging from Research Professors to Junior Research Fellows, and the length of appointment varies from three months to four years. Currently, the members of the Institute are recruited from both inside and outside the University by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & International), and they may reside on any campus within the institution.
The Institute for the Advancement of Research is a focus for reflection, discussion, research and writing.
