ALA Fellowships

The goal of the AusAID’s Australian Leadership Awards Fellowships Program is to develop appropriately trained current and aspiring leaders who, in the short-to-medium term will be in a position to advance key regional policy issues.

In 2007, a total of ten Fellows from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and East Timor are attending a professional development program at the Flagship for Creative and Authentic Leadership, Sydney, Australia. Each Fellow is either a current leader or an aspiring mid-career professional who has considerable input into the shaping and delivery of his/her country’s educational services. Fellows hold positions of leadership in their respective countries and within a range of education sectors including the school, university, non-government organisations (NGO) and government departments. In 2008 the flagship has been succesful in obtaining funding for AusAid for 14 fellows from India, Vietnam, Nepal, Philippines, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Laos to attend the prgram in Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin.
