Catholic Educational Conference 2007
Progress continued to be made towards hosting the 4th International Conference on Catholic Educational Leadership. Directions in Catholic Educational Leadership for the 21st Century: Faith in the Future will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel, Sydney from 29 July – 1 August 2007. Major success was achieved tin 2006 in obtaining sponsorship from private corporations and Catholic systems for the Conference. Archbishop Michael Miller, Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education at the Vatican, Professor Patrick Duignan, Director of the Flagship, Professor Gayle Furman from the University of Washington and Dr Padraig Hogan from the National University of Ireland are the keynote speakers.
Catholic Educational Leadership Conference

Following on the success of the 2004 conference the Flagship is hosting an international Catholic Education Leadership Conference in 2007:
Building on past Catholic educational leadership conferences, Directions for Catholic Educational Leadership in the 21 st Century: The Vision, Challenges and Reality will focus on educational leadership that meets the demands of contemporary educational environment in the 21 st century. What learnings have we gained from the past? What new challenges are emerging? How can we best move forward to create an effective and authentic leadership compass for Catholic educational leaders in the future?
For 2007, the Conference is privileged to have as keynote speakers Archbishop John Michael Miller, Sectary to the Congregation for Catholic Education, Dr Gail Furman from Washington State University, Dr Padraig Hogan from National University of Ireland Maynooth (NUIM), and Professor Patrick Duignan, Director of the Flagship.
