Non Recent School Leavers

Life skills can be used for entry into university as well as previous work experience.  Any study undertaken through TAFE Colleges and other training providers can also help you gain entry.  If you have not undertaken any formal study we encourage you to take a STAT test.

Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a two-hour aptitude test that assists applicants to demonstrate their potential for tertiary study and helps tertiary institutions make their selection decisions.  The test is widely accepted and is used by most tertiary institutions.  A STAT result may improve your chances of selection.  If you are using Alternative Entry qualifications, or you have completed Senior External examination subjects, Competency-Based Training or the Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation, you may consider sitting the STAT.

STAT tests are held regularly in all states and territories.  To register to sit the next STAT test in your state or territory please visit the following websites –

Any statements relating to work or other supporting documentation should be lodged with your application.
